By car from New York City:
Take Long Island Expressway (495 East) to exit 70 (Manorville) and after exit make a right turn at the gas station onto County Road 111 South. Go approximately 4.5 miles to the end of County Road 111, which narrows and ends in a sharp left turn directly onto Route 27 East.

Continue on Route 27 East until you reach Amagansett. As you leave Amagansett village, continue on 27 East about 4 miles from the Amagansett flagpole (at the fire station). You will see a radio tower (with a flickering light) in the distance. Just before you reach the radio tower you will see a sign on the right for the WHITE SANDS and a street sign "Atlantic Drive". Make a right turn at Atlantic Drive and drive straight ahead 3 short blocks toward the beach. Just before you reach the sand turn right on Shore Road, and WHITE SANDS will be just on the left (#28 Shore Road).
